Connected by Design

Spectrum and the Buffalo Center for Arts & Technology are collaborating on a youth-driven mural project at Spectrum’s Tech Ops Center in Buffalo. Students from three BCAT Youth Arts & Technology visual arts classes are creating original artwork inspired by Spectrum’s “Connected by Design” theme.

Working through their BCAT classes, students are exploring how people, communities, art, technology, and everyday life connect. Their designs will bring their perspectives and creativity into the Tech Ops Center, helping transform the space through youth-created artwork.

The project gives students an opportunity to collaborate with a real-world partner, develop creative and technical skills, and see their ideas become part of a permanent environment in their community.
